james hart dyke
After James Hart Dyke finished his studies as an architect at the Royal College of Art in 1992 he established himself as a painter of country houses, combining his architectural training with his painting ability. He worked on many private commissions and in 1998 he was selected to exhibit his work an historical exhibition The Artist and The Country House from the Fifteenth Century to the Present Day at Sotheby’s, London. In 1999 he published a book James Hart Dyke: Country House Paintings.
His figure work was selected for the BP Portrait Awards at the National Portrait Gallery, The Royal Society of Portrait Painters Exhibitions, The Discerning Eye and he was commissioned to paint a portrait of HRH The Princess Royal.
